HSA Meeting

Join us for the last HSA Meeting of the year in the Library after CBA, Thursday 6/13. Agenda and Zoom link.

Want to Get Involved?

The Orchard HSA runs events and fundraisers that benefit our amazing school. To help ensure these programs and events can continue each year, please consider volunteering. It's a great way to get involved, meet new people, and be a part of your child’s school experience. There are many volunteer opportunities for next year. Email HSA Vice President & Volunteer Coordinator Vanessa Carr at [email protected] with any questions.

Class Parent Volunteers Needed

Are you interested in making a difference in your child's classroom for the 2024-2025 school year? We're looking for dedicated parents to take on the role of class parent! This role involves some key tasks that support the teacher and classroom. You'll help coordinate sign-up sheets for things like classroom supplies and fun events. Additionally, you'll attend HSA meetings to stay informed about school happenings and then share important updates with the other parents in the class. If you're enthusiastic about getting involved, please email [email protected]. We'll add you to our list of interested candidates. Once class rosters are finalized in August, we'll be in touch to confirm if a class parent spot is available for you.

End of Year Celebration

Let’s celebrate the end of school together! The whole school is invited on June 19th from 12:45-2:45 pm on Orchard grounds for some DJ’d music and inflatable fun!  This FREE event is being sponsored by Orchard’s HSA. Note:  This is not a drop-off event. An adult must accompany all students.

Each Orchard student will also get an opportunity to create a fun prop for all the parade walkers this Friday, June 14th during recess.  We are requesting students to bring in one (or more) empty kitchen paper towel roll. Bring them anytime this week and store them in your classrooms.

A Note from the Ed Center

You should have received the 2024 State of the Schools survey via email. We want to thank those who have already participated in the survey and take a moment to remind those who have not yet completed the survey to do so. The survey takes about 7 minutes to complete. Your answers are collected anonymously and will help us to gain insight regarding our areas of strength and areas for improvement.

Please note: You will receive one survey for each child that you have in the district so that you may customize your answers based on the experience of each child. Please contact [email protected] with any questions regarding the survey process. Thank you for participating. We look forward to your responses.

Red CrossFrom the Health Office:

Please read this important letter from Nurse Caruso regarding medications in the nurse’s office.

It is a district policy to submit an updated physical exam report each school year. Having comprehensive and up-to-date medical information allows our staff to support each student properly.

We are approaching the end of the year and the GW nurse is missing proof of required vaccines from many of our outgoing 5th graders. Please make every effort to get this done and hand them in to the nurse before the summer starts.
